USA! USA! USA!
1. Who was the last person you held hands with?
I think it was my little brother – held his hand when crossing the road. Nothing exciting, but gotta stay safe ;)
2. Are you loud, outgoing or shy?
Out of the three, most definitely shy. I’m definitely not at the extreme end of that, however. I can function fine around others! … Just adore being in my own mind, too.
3. Who are you looking forward to seeing?
If Saturday’s plans go ahead, my friend Sonya. Failing that (and regardless, anyway), I’m looking forward to seeing my friends who are coming back from Uni for summer, as well as my other friends from Uni!
4. Are you easy to get along with?
Without purposefully sounding overly vain, I really think I am. I’d say I’m one of the easiest people to get along with (if spoken to, or if given the time) as I’m so adaptable to situations and personalities.
5. Have you ever given up on someone but then gone back to him or her?
Yeah, I probably have I suppose. I’ve been very unwilling to let go of the past, in the past.
6. If you were drunk would the person you like take care of you?
Difficult to answer since I cannot say there is somebody in my life who I really, really like. I miss that feeling, but doing totally okay without it!
7. Do you think you’ll be in a relationship two months from now?
I doubt it, but I wouldn’t hold bets on it.
8. Who from the opposite gender is on your mind?
Rather boringly, the IT Analyst/Director I am working with. She is coming to the office I work in tomorrow and we’ll be discussing all manner of Database-y things. Our project is close to publishing – geeky but exciting!
9. Does talking about sex make you uncomfortable?
Not really. I’ll admit that I’m probably not the utmost open about speaking about it (in serious terms), but that’s mainly due to being exposed to it all properly, later than most. I’m pretty mature about it now, though : )
10. Who was the last person you had a deep conversation with?
I’m scraping the barrel a little here, but possibly one of my workmates, Rachel, last week? Our conversations are not ‘deep’ in the sense that we sit down and talk it out intensely – but more so just personal titbits in car journeys. Even when I have ‘deep’ conversations, I mostly add a little humour so it’s light-hearted.
However tonight I was chatting with my mum all about my work and what I do. Some topics transpired into talking about fertility issues and what-not, getting fairly ‘deep’ I suppose.
11. What does your most recent text say?
“Just mske sure he is not late going to bed x” – Typo included.
12. How do you feel abortion?
Should be a choice discussed by both parents (just the mother, if the father is not around). I’m very pro-choice – emphasis on the ‘choice’. People should be able to choose what they want, within sensible guidelines of course.
13. Do you like big crowds of people?
Nah, I prefer a smaller, close-knit group of people. Crowds drain me of energy.
14. Do you believe in luck and miracles?
Whilst the logical side of my brain can dismiss ‘luck’ down to probabilities – I do consider myself lucky in plenty of situations. Many seem to favour my overall goal. Of course, this could be down to a relaxed, optimistic outlook on life… but some instances feel truly awe-inspiring if I’m honest.
15. What good thing happened this summer?
Well, summer has just begun so I haven’t a large time frame to choose from!
I passed my driving theory test the other day. That counts, right?
16. Would you kiss the last person you kissed again?
17. Do you think there is life on other planets?
I think to rule out possibility of life (in whichever form it manifests) at least somewhere in the universe, would be foolish. We are a drop in the ocean… Not even a drop in the ocean – more like an atom in the ocean. In the grand scheme of things, we are more than microscopic. Although for life to form, it must follow an incredibly fortunate sequence of events… I cannot comprehend that we are the only planet with life on. If there is intelligent life, however – let’s hope they aren’t as willing to going to war for resources as much as our planet’s governments are.
18. Do you still talk to your first crush?
Nope! I did however sit on the same row of seats (on a train) as her the other month, though. Purely by chance; I’m surprised I recognised her as she looked so different. We didn’t speak as she was with her Mum and Nan. Don’t think she recognised me anyway!
19. Do you like bubble baths?
On occasions, I do enjoy giving myself a Father Christmas Bubble-Beard.
20. Do you like your neighbours?
Yeah. I’ve never had a problem with them, really. (Except that one time my neighbour was drumming really loud a few nights a week.) Used to play Pokémon through the garden hedges all the time as kids!
21. What are your bad habits?
If I have a cut, spot etc – I’ll pick it. It’s bloody annoying, but so satisfying to do.
I picked up this habit from my Dad – he does it all the time.
22. Where would you like to travel?
Scandinavia, Japan and possibly the USA.
23. Do you have trust issues?
Some. Most people do. It’s more that I have learnt what to and what not to trust others with.
24. Favourite part of your daily routine?
The first sip of a cup of milk. It’s fucking fantastic.
25. What body part are you most uncomfortable with?
There’s plenty I don’t like, but mainly my overall build. I’m much skinnier than I wish to be and find it difficult to put on weight (eating tons is hard for me).
26. What do you do when you wake up?
Check that I haven’t crushed my phone and hope I don’t have to get out of bed right away.
27. Do you wish your skin was lighter or darker?
A bit darker really. I’m pale skinned and don’t really have an issue with that – but a darker shade may look healthier. I don’t use fake tan though!
28. Who are you most uncomfortable around and why?
Those who are better than me. Firstly, their intelligence. I can feel belittled by how clever they are. Secondly, if a guy looks great. Why can’t I look like you?!
Having said that, I am never discriminatory to people just due to feeling intimidated! I still respect them even more.
29. Have any of your ex’s told you they regret breaking up?
Nope! Mostly due to being so young when we did break up!
30. Do you ever want to get married?
Yes – I think it would be lovely.
31. Is your hair long enough for a ponytail?
Oh hell nah. I couldn’t deal with it all being in my face like that.
32. Which celebrities would you like to have a three some with?
Olivia Wilde (as in Tron: Legacy) and Lauren Mayberry.
(Carey Mulligan can be subbed in though.)
33. Spell your name with your chin.
- Actually did that without cheating. Didn’t un-Caps Lock it though…
34. Do you play sports?
I do, although I haven’t played tennis for a while. Fortunately I’m at the stage whereby even if I haven’t played for ages, I can still pick up a racket and be pretty damn good. Love running, but haven’t lately so I can gain weight!
35. Would you rather live without TV or music?
TV, but mostly because I am not hooked to many TV shows at the moment – just movies! I could survive without either as music has not played a massive part in my life (until I discovered Frankmusik), however.
36. Have you ever liked someone and never told them?
Yeah, for sure. To be fair, many times I have not said it out-right but they have worked it out anyway. I can be a bit of an open book, in that sense.
37. What do you say during awkward silences?
“Let me just get this out of my bag/Let me just check my phone quickly.”
38. Do you think age matters in relationships?
The more I’ve aged, the less I feel it matters. Still, at my age I would not be comfortable dating anyone over three years younger than me. Older, less restricted but still within their 20s.
39. What are your favourite shops to shop in?
Tesco Express (mostly as it’s convenient and where I grab my lunch many days),
Next, Primark… Amazon counts as a shop, right?!
40. What do you want to do after high school?
I’ll substitute ‘high school’ for ‘University’ here. Nothing is set in stone, but possibly in an analyst role of some sort. To decide what role fits me best, I do still have to hone my skill set, first!
41. Do you believe everyone deserves a second chance?
Not everyone. I mean, c’mon – Luis Suarez has been given two chances and he still goes round biting everyone! … In all seriousness though, it depends. It depends on the severity of the action performed.
42. If you’re being extremely quiet what does it mean?
I’m either listening to my surroundings (conversations/stories etc.) or concentrating. I am often pretty quiet, but by no means wanting to filter myself out of a group. I just like to absorb information rather than expel it!
43. Do you smile at strangers?
Yep – sometimes. Especially if they make me laugh/happy or they smile at me first.
44. Trip to outer space or the bottom of the ocean?
Space, mostly for the view and minimal gravity. The seafloor has some bloody terrifying creatures. Would hate to be in either for a prolonged period though!
45. Do you want a roommate?
Noooooo. My room is my room. I enjoy my privacy.
46. What are you paranoid about?
My Internet History. Ahaha, no. (But yes really, just a little.)
Maybe about people commenting on my skinniness. I mostly take it on the chin, but sometimes it can make me feel a bit sad. It’s considered offensive to comment on larger people’s weight, but this does not seem to apply for skinny people who are discontent with their own figure. It can be hurtful too, y’know?
47. What was the meanest thing someone ever said to you?
People generally aren’t all that mean to me. Hopefully that’s down to the fact I’m not an asshole to people, either! I’ve had mean, physical things done to me (e.g. nearly blinded, kicked and punched by a group of guys) and mean things said relating to violence (e.g. I will uppercut you – regarding his ‘knife’) – but find these situations do not affect me much. It can shake me, but they do not usually cause any lasting effects. Emotionally related meanness hits home a lot harder, though. I’m not sure exactly what the meanest thing said to me was, but can guarantee it was an insult aimed at my personality, in one way or another.
48. The nicest thing?
“I would marry you.” Something along those lines, I think it was. It kind of just emphasises qualities a marriage partner would probably have – loyalty, friendliness, fun, reliability, pleasing. All manner of things…
49. Have you done something recently you hope no one finds out about?
A couple of things. In all honesty, they’re all just tiny, minor things – but I’d just rather they stay private! They don’t affect anybody else, so no need to worry others : )
50. What language do you want to learn?
For beauty of the language itself, French or Japanese.
For practicality, German.
I just realised I have some unanswered questions in my inbox.
Tomorrow/very soon will be spent answering them!
Purging the galaxy of rebel scum - just another day at the office for this TIE Fighter.
we need to destry the Ring. But first, let me take a selfie
Flower Pot Men: Resurrection
BY GOLLY. It’s not yet complete, but it sure is getting there. #ByNicole @frankmusik
C’mon. Why not? Do it.
I’m always honest.
(Or just ask anything at all.)
